| Student Cooperative Education Programs
Walsh Brothers offers a formalized Student Co-Op Program in association with several area schools who have engineering and construction management curricula. The complexity of the projects we undertake as well as our seasoned construction professionals provide valuable hands on training for our employees who are just beginning their careers at Walsh Brothers. The future of our Company starts the first day a new employee steps through our door.
With much of our annual volume concentrated in the institutional market, many of Walsh Brothers on-site project teams are currently working with higher education institutions to promote the construction industry as a potential career and to provide educational internships for students on Walsh Brothers job sites.
Our Student Co-Op Program allows us an opportunity to know the next generation of industry leaders, while giving local area students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in their chosen career path.
Over the years, we have hired numerous students through our Student Co-Op Program. Many of these co-op students have gone forward with full time employment at Walsh Brothers upon graduation, and many have remained at Walsh Brothers over the long term.
Walsh Brothers is proud of our many “school-to-work” success stories, and we committed to continuing the Student Co-Op program as a vital recruitment tool.
