Walsh Brothers Continues Decades-long Relationship Building at MGH
January 2015
Walsh Brothers, continuing its fifth decade of building and renovating space on the Massachusetts General Hospital campus, is excited to announce two new project awards to be completed within the hospital's sensitive healthcare environment.
Located in this busy world-class healthcare facility, Walsh Brothers will be providing construction management services for the Founders 2 Radiology Executive Administration project. Located on the 2nd floor of the Founders Building on the Massachusetts General Hospital campus, the project involves the gut renovation of 11,000 square feet of space allowing for the fit-out of what will be office space for the new radiology department.
In addition, Walsh Brothers was also awarded a two-phased, 2,000 square-foot project including the renovation of the cold storage and carousel located within the pharmacy area. The project, which will take four months to complete and includes the demolition of the existing pharmacy carousel and cold storage facility, will maintain a fully operational pharmacy area throughout the project duration.
Designed by Linea 5, Inc., both projects involve extensive ICRA and ISLM procedures, something in which Walsh Brothers excels. Having completed similar renovation projects for healthcare facilities in and around the Boston area over the last decade, Walsh Brothers is known as a preeminent healthcare builder and is honored to have been chosen once again by Massachusetts General Hospital as their construction manager on both of these important projects.
