Last month Linda Shaughnessy, Walsh Brothers’ Director of Workforce Diversity, was posthumously awarded the BWiC Mentor of the Year Award. The BWiC Awards are designed to acknowledge women in construction who demonstrate leadership, generosity, innovation, and commitment to their careers, coworkers, and industry. Linda was a trailblazer in mentoring employees, colleagues, subcontractors, and jobsite personnel on workforce diversity matters. After a heartfelt speech given by Richard Walsh, the award was accepted by Linda’s daughter Keri. We believe Linda would have been extremely proud to be honored with this award, and we at Walsh Brothers are extremely proud to have worked alongside her.
