WESTFIELD, MA, October 13, 2023 – Walsh Brothers was honored to attend the official Ribbon Cutting for the newly renovated Parenzo Hall at Westfield State University this past Friday.

Being the first and oldest building on campus, built in 1956, Parenzo Hall housed the offices of the President, Human Resources, and Student Services and important gathering spaces for students, including their main gymnasium, auditorium, and lunchroom.

The newly renovated space provides the University with refined classrooms to support various learning modes and faculty offices for both the Education and Political Science Departments. Vital modernization upgrades were made to the Dever Auditorium, making it an ADA accessible spot for performances.

Most notably, Parenzo Hall features the new Research, Innovation, Design, and Entrepreneurial (RIDE) Center, Center for Student Success and Engagement (CSSE), and new CoLab, an adaptable and multi-use space to support dynamic workforce needs.

Walsh Brothers is grateful to have been given the opportunity to advance this space to suit the needs of Westfield State’s student and faculty population, making it a hub for continued success. We especially would like to thank Westfield State University, DCAMM and the Architects at Miller Dyer Spears and their Consultants! Congratulations to the entire project team for its successful completion!
