Construction Underway on Patient Parking Garage and Centennial Park for Brigham and Women’s Hospital
Boston, MA — The landscape of one of Boston's busiest intersections is changing as ground was broken on a major construction project at Brigham Circle. Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH) is building a new 400-space underground parking garage at the corner of Francis Street and Huntington Avenue. The garage will be topped with a beautifully landscaped park, the Thea and James M. Stoneman Centennial Park, named in honor of the principal donors for the park. Construction manager is Walsh Brothers; HDR and Halvorson are the project designers.

Westfield State University Breaks Ground on University Hall Residence
Westfield, MA, May 14, 2012— Westfield State University trustees, staff, and faculty along with and local and state officials celebrated the start of construction for University Hall, a $59 million student residence, with a groundbreaking ceremony held on May 12th at the project site. Construction manager for the 135,000 square foot residence is Walsh Brothers; ADD Inc. is the project architect. The Massachusetts State College Building Authority is funding and overseeing the project.

University of Massachusetts Lowell Breaks Ground on All Suites Residence Hall
Lowell, MA, April 5, 2012— The University of Massachusetts at Lowell celebrated the start of construction for University Suites, a $54 million residence hall, with a groundbreaking ceremony held at the East Campus site on April 5th. When completed late next year, University Suites will accommodate 472 students. The student residence includes several environmentally-friendly features: recycled materials, water-conserving fixtures and high-performing heating and cooling systems.

Boston, MA – February 11, 2011 – Walsh Brothers, Incorporated, in collaboration with designers Zimmer Gunsul Frasca Architects and Miller Dyer Spears, had the pleasure of participating in the recent dedication ceremony for the state of the art Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) Yawkey Center for Cancer Care. This 275,000 SF cancer center with 200,000 SF underground parking garage is located on Brookline Avenue and serves as a model of bench to bedside cancer research and supporting clinical care for cancer patients.
